Greetings everyone!

I will be presenting an overview of OpenOffice.org's Base.  This database program is available for all three major platforms - GNU/Linux, Macintosh OS X, and Windows, and looks and runs the same on each.

It is a F/OSS (Free and Open Source) application, meaning that you are Free to develop databases using it and to share both your work and the program itself with anyone for any purpose.  It doesn't cost anything either!

We will be taking a look, using both Wizards and manual design, at tables, queries, forms, and reports.  This should be an interesting review of a very powerful and useful class of software, and anyone wishing to construct a database for contacts/mailing lists, collections, hobby information, etc. should be able to go home after the meeting and get right to work.
