Copying files to a CDR using just Windows Explorer

Hi all,
At the General Meeting tonight after Bob K's nice presentation on Pinnacle v.12, we were trying to copy a file directly to a CDR in the burner, using just Windows Explorer in Win XP on the clubs laptop. It would not work at that time! Well, I just decided to look into it on my computer at home and noticed that there is a setting that must be enabled for it to work.
If you right click on the CD rom drive icon in Windows Explorer or My Computer, it will bring up a window with 4 tabs at the top. The 4th one over on the right side says recording. If you click on it it will show a window where you can check the box to enable recording on the CD burner. If it is not checked, it doesn't work, just like happened at the meeting tonight. Take a look on your own computer and see if it works for you!
