Double email

I'm using Thunderbird email and have roadrunner. On my desktop computer I download my email to my computer; I have a wired connection. When I use my laptop with a wireless connection, I download to same messages ?

That's a mail client setting.  You need to go into account settings and uncheck "leave messages on server" or whatever the precise language is.  While you're there, review all the message handling options, as there are some genuine choices involved that are worth considering.
