I saw an article in pcmag.com regarding a serious breach of privacy by the Web of Trust Browser Extension. Spiegel Online reports that Mozilla has already removed the WOT extension from its Firefox Add-ons page due to guideline violations. Details on this are in the link below.

BitDefender TrafficLight which is available as an addon for Firefox and Chrome  and Safari is a good  alternative to WOT

WOT Web of Trust appears to have fixed the security concerns with the addon and it is now back on Firefox and other browsers
