Many are familiar with the "Cryptolocker" & "Cryptowall" ransomwares that held thousands of computers hostage for online ransom payments.

There is also another hostile ransomeware in town, and it's called " CoinVault ".  Coinvault let's you decrypt 1-file for free as a token gesture of faith.
The problem is the other hundred or thousand files remain encrypted until you pay the ransom ranging from $50 to into hundreds of dollars.

Kaspersky has an excellent "Free"  program that helps get your files back without paying ransom.  https://noransom.kaspersky.com/
