HP already knows its way around UNIX.  They created HP-UX for their minicomputers many years ago.
They support their printers in Linux quite strongly with hplip ....  That's why I buy HP printers.
They also offer SUSE Linux on a *very* small selection of their computers, but that's still a whole lot more than most vendors.

I don't think anyone commercial with any thoughts of bucking M$ is going to say anything about it until they're ready to launch their products.
